So I dusted off my dehydrator and made my first batch of 2013 kale chips :-). delicious! nutritious! and they didn’t last long! no need to figure out how to store these puppies lol! L asked me “why do I love these so much if I really don’t like kale?”.
“cheezy” kale chips “inspired by Ani Phyo’s recipe”
1 cup raw cashews (soaked or not)
1/2 red bell pepper
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
4 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (optional)
1/2 teaspoon himalayan salt
1 bunch kale (bite size pieces)
blend all ingredients (you can also use a food processor) then in a large bowl mix the “cheeze”with the kale. Dehydrate for 8 to 10 hours :-).
Don’t be discouraged if you don’t have a dehydrator just use your oven … Preheat oven to the lowest temperature to keep them raw or you can bake them (not raw) at 350 for 10 – 15 minutes or until crispy and golden brown :-).
